Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) is proud to announce the signing of Shamarie Smith, a standout 6'1" forward-center from Houston, Texas. Smith will join the Lady Lancers in early January 2025, bringing her exceptional athletic ability, strong work ethic, and competitive spirit to the program.

Smith comes to EWC from the highly regarded BDA Basketball Ravens AAU program, where she developed a strong foundation in both offensive and defensive play. Known for her versatility, power in the paint, and relentless drive on the court, she is expected to make an immediate impact for the Lady Lancers.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome Shamarie to the EWC family," said Women's Basketball Head Coach Tim Larsen. "She is a hardworking player with great athleticism, and we know she will bring a lot of energy and determination to our team. Coming from a strong AAU program, she has been well-prepared for the next level, and we can't wait to see her contribute."
