Eastern Wyoming College Men’s Basketball Signs Mitch Zeunert

TORRINGTON, Wyo. — Eastern Wyoming College Men's Basketball has announced the signing of Mitch Zeunert for the upcoming season.

Zeunert, a 6'9", freshman from Victoria, Australia, has signed a letter of intent to join the Lancers.

A versatile post player, Zeunert has the ability to stretch the floor offensively while finishing effectively at the rim. He is expected to make an immediate impact on the defensive end with his rebounding, rim protection and physical presence in the paint.

At 6-foot-9, Zeunert brings size and toughness to the Lancers' frontcourt and is expected to play a key role in anchoring the defense.

Zeunert is a highly decorated player, earning team MVP honors three times (2021, 2024, 2025) and receiving Big V Youth League 1 All-Star recognition in 2025.

Head Coach Bill Engel said Zeunert's motor and defensive presence stand out.

"We love Mitch's potential to step in and immediately impact the program," Engel said. "His rebounding and shot-blocking ability will be counted on. Ultimately, it's Mitch's motor that sets him apart — we expect him to be a force on the glass."

Zeunert is expected to contribute right away as the Lancers prepare for the upcoming season.
