TORRINGTON, Wyo. — Eastern Wyoming College Men's Basketball announces that LaThario Miller Jr. will continue his academic and athletic career at Clarion University.
Miller Jr. departs the Lancers after a strong and impactful tenure with the program, demonstrating resilience, growth and a commitment to excellence on and off the court. His time at EWC helped shape his development as both a player and a person, preparing him for success at the next level.
"This signing means that everything I worked for is paying off like I said it would," Miller Jr. said. "It's a blessing and a new opportunity. I chose this four-year program because the coaching staff instantly connected with me, and they aligned with my goals. My time here at EWC provided me some character development. It also made me tougher and more disciplined. I would like to thank my dad for helping me reach this point in my life, who's been my foundation and coach behind the scenes. He has prepared me for the adversity that comes with being a dedicated student-athlete. I would also like to thank my mother for always being in my corner. My goals for the next step are to continue to maximize my talents and skills in order to help contribute to finding my purpose."
Head Men's Basketball Coach Bill Engel said he is proud of Miller Jr.'s journey and accomplishments.
"LaThario has been a tremendous part of our program," Engel said. "His toughness, discipline and commitment to growth have helped him earn this opportunity. We're excited to see him continue his career at Clarion and know he will make a strong impact."
As he transitions to Clarion University, Miller Jr. carries with him the foundation built at Eastern Wyoming College and is prepared to contribute at the next level while continuing to pursue his academic goals.
