Eastern Wyoming College Men’s Basketball Signs Cordell Spoonhunter

TORRINGTON, Wyo. — Eastern Wyoming College Men's Basketball has announced the signing of Cordell Spoonhunter for the upcoming season.

Spoonhunter, a shooting guard from Wyoming Indian High School, has committed to continue his basketball career with the Lancers.

Spoonhunter brings an accomplished high school résumé to Eastern Wyoming College. He is a four-time all-conference selection and played a key role in leading Wyoming Indian to a state championship during the 2024-25 season, followed by a runner-up finish in 2025-26. He earned 2A all-state honors in 2025-26 and was named the 2A Southwest Player of the Year that same season.

Head Coach Bill Engel said Spoonhunter's skill set and poise will make him a strong addition to the program.

"We are excited to welcome Cordell to the Lancer program," Engel said. "His ability to consistently knock down shots, create opportunities for teammates and play with poise makes him a strong fit. As he continues to develop, Cordell has the tools to become a valuable contributor for the 2026-27 Lancers."

Spoonhunter is expected to contribute as the Lancers prepare for the upcoming season.
