TORRINGTON, Wyo. — Eastern Wyoming College Men's Basketball has announced the signing of Toren Lee-Rose for the upcoming season.
Lee-Rose, a 6'6", wing from Westside High School in Texas, has signed a letter of intent to join the Lancers.
Lee-Rose brings an accomplished high school résumé. He earned two selections to the 6A first-team all-district and was named second-team all-district as a sophomore. He also received first-team all-tournament honors at the Katy Tournament and delivered standout postseason performances, earning MVP honors at both the Houston ISD Tournament and the Woodlands Tournament. In addition, he was a two-time first-team all-tournament selection at the Woodlands Tournament.
A 1,000-point career scorer, Lee-Rose has also excelled in the classroom, earning honor roll recognition and receiving the Wolf Pack Leadership Award twice.
Head Coach Bill Engel said Lee-Rose's potential and versatility will be valuable to the program.
"We are excited to welcome Toren to our program," Engel said. "He has the potential to develop into an outstanding player, with the size, skill set and motor to compete at a high level. Toren is a next-level scorer and a lengthy defender who we expect to become a key part of the Lancer rotation over the next two years."
Lee-Rose is expected to contribute to the Lancers as they prepare for the upcoming season.
