Though the game was originally scheduled for November, Monday night's win against Western Nebraska was actually seven years in the making.

For the first time since the 2012-13 season, the Eastern Wyoming College men's basketball team beat Western Nebraska. The Lancers won 85-74 to split the season series with the Cougars.

The Lancers controlled the game from tip-off to final buzzer and ended the Cougars' five-game win streak in front of a fully packed Verl Petsch, Jr. Activities Center.

Monday's non-conference tilt was a make-up for the November 26 game that was canceled due to weather.
